St Vincent Crescent with sundial
Globe sundial in bronze by Wendy Taylor. The axis of the sundial lies parallel to the axis of the earth and thus reproduces in miniature the way the light of the sun falls upon the earth. One of several sculptural pieces to be found along the Marine Walk.

The Tower, Meridian Quay, Swansea
Viewed across Swansea Marina (the old South Dock) from Victoria Quay. Most of the tower contains apartments. At 107 metres (c350 ft), the 29-storey building which opened in 2009 is the tallest in Swansea and probably Wales, though some buildings currently (2013) under construction in Cardiff will be taller than 100 metres when complete.

Copper Flame sculpture, Swansea
One of many items of public artwork in and near Swansea's Maritime Quarter, the Copper Flame is in Marine Walk. The sculpture symbolises the transformation of copper ore to metal by fire, a process formerly carried out hereabouts in Swansea. The copper flame is moved by the wind, as a real flame would be, indicating wind direction.

Swansea Marina
As it says on the hoarding by the construction site: "the changing face of Swansea". This view, of the former South Dock, will be very different when the Meridian Quay development is built- a 300', 29 storey apartment block.
