Skewen railway station, Neath
Opened in 1994 by British Rail on the line from Cardiff to Swansea, this is the third station to have served Skewen. View west towards Llansamlet and Swansea. The first station was beyond the bridge in the distance to 1910, the second was just behind the camera position until 1964.

Skewen railway station
Viewed from Station Road bridge. Skewen is part of the Swanline local route from Cardiff Central to Swansea. The next station ahead is Llansamlet. This route is also part of the main line between the two cities, but most trains do not stop here. Passengers should be behind the yellow line on the platforms when a train passes through the station at high speed, to avoid the air turbulence created.
