Coleridge Road or Pothouse Bridge
The British Waterways sign at left calls this Coleridge Road Bridge but the original name (sign at right) seems to have been Pothouse Bridge

Coleridge Road Bridge over the Tinsley Canal
This picture was taken on a gloomy Monday in late February. The plaque on the right of the structure gives the bridge a more evocative name which sadly escapes me at present.

Sheffield & Tinsley Canal beside Sheffield Arena
With the Supertram line to the right, electricity power lines, the lighting columns for the Don Valley Bowl amidst the trees, and the taller lighting towers of Don Valley Stadium further away. The Don Valley Stadium that is almost no more, the stands now demolished. The towers will be following, probably before many will view this picture.

Brown Bayley Bridge, Sheffield & Tinsley Canal
The Brown Bayley Bridge was built in 1993 to provide pedestrian access over the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal to the Don Valley Stadium and surrounding area. The bridge takes its name from the former Brown Bayley Steel Works which, until the decline of the steel industry, had occupied the site where the Don Valley Stadium and Sheffield Arena were subsequently built.

Brown Bayley Bridge
Despite the name, this bridge is not what is known as a "Bailey bridge". And despite its "heritage" look it only dates from 1993. For a historical note on the name, see Image For a view from the other side, see Image taken the same day by another contributor.
