Doubletree Hotel by Hilton
Built on the playing field of Meadowhead School, as was the car sales and services premises of Sheffield Audi & Volkswagen dealers, Gilders, just to the north. To the southern end of the school fields a housing development has further encroached onto the playing fields.
This hotel is remarkably well hidden from the A61 outside, the trees having grown substantially since the premises first opened as a Moat House Hotel, possibly 20+ years ago. Later it became the Park Hotel before becoming a Doubletree by Hilton a year or two ago.
