Shireoaks - end-terrace house on Shireoaks Row
This end-terrace house has 3 storeys whereas the adjacent mid-terrace houses have just 2 storeys and an attic dormer (see Image for an example of the latter). This end-terrace was probably a "gaffer's house" among the miners' houses.

Shireoaks Row from the churchyard
The style of dormer windows has become very varied over the years, with hardly any two now the same. The smallest ones presumably represent the original style.
