Madina Mosque
A busy image which shows, in the foreground, the railway bridge over London Road and in the background the Madina Mosque or Madina Masjid, also known as the "Wolseley Road Mosque." The latter was the first purpose-built mosque in Sheffield. The photograph was taken from the 'Ponsford Bridge,' the walkway which connects the two Ponsford furniture shops in Heeley.

Madina Mosque, Heeley, Sheffield
The Madina Mosque or Madina Masjid, also known as the Wolseley Road Mosque, is the first purpose built mosque in Sheffield,completed in October 2006. Users of the mosque raised several millions of pounds to pay for the new mosque and Islamic centre which includes 19 rooms and 2 large halls, a library and a day centre.
