The Spencer Arms, Cawthorne
Rather than a caot of Arms the pub's emblem is now a large friendly sheep. The lamp-post in Image is immediately ton the right of the tree.

Sponsored lamp-post. Cawthorne
AS I drove through the village I noticed that all the lamp-posts are of the same shapely design and many have metal flags with a name on, presumably of a sponsor.

All Saints church, Cawthorne, near Barnsley, South Yorkshire
The parish dates back to at least the 11th Century and parts of the current church date back to the 15th Century.

The Spencer Arms in Cawthorne
Situated on Church Street at the very northern edge of the square. My only recollection of this pub is vague due to arriving here in a completely hammered state following a solo-pinballing pub-walk on May Day 2006.
