General store, Jump
There is a foundation stone on the corner of the building http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3549935 which leads me to think that this was originally a Co-operative store. The separate shop down the road to the right http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3549939 could well have been a butchery or bakery department; old maps show that it is clearly part of the same development. The foundation stone is dated 1891. Update 2020: A former local resident has informed me that this was indeed the locoal Co-operative store.

Foundation stone, 221 Cemetery Road, Jump
Much of the inscription is eroded, and there is no indication of the body involved. There is a list of Directors on one side, headed by James Fairclough President, and the date of laying (1891) on the other. Also visible is a cut bench mark on the right hand wall, equally much eroded due to the softness of the sandstone. Update 2020: A former local resident has informed me that this was the local Co-operative store.
