The Sheffield - Manchester Railway
Looking towards Sheffield city centre from the Archer Road overbridge. There used to be four tracks here but now there are only two. And though four tracks would be useful on today's congested railway, especially as HS2 trains may be using them in the future, it is unlikely to happen as some of the land has been used for commercial purposes.

Has been signposted as a weak bridge for a long time. The bridge crosses the line out of Midland Station towards Dore and the junction, one line to Chesterfield, and the other to the Hope Valley.Single file traffic.
