Don't bank on it!
To the left are the former premises of the Yorkshire Bank, closed in the 1990s. The HSBC hung on a bit longer, but their premises (behind the green light) finally giving in to changes in modern commerce about 10 years later.

Mural on Bedale Road
The mural records the change of use of the building on which it has been painted. For 51 years it was Shah's Oriental Grocers until the owner retired. It is now the Barrow Boy Bar and both businesses are included in the artwork. The fox in the bottom right corner has been there for many years, one of several such artworks in the area.

Former Abbeydale Cinema
The Abbeydale Cinema was once a rather grand building, but after several attempts at restoration of the fabric, and of viable businesses inside, once again the premises are for sale.
Shah Oriental Grocers is an example of an early Asian business in Sheffield, established over 40 years ago.
