Old Entrance Gate near Roche Abbey
These old gateposts and adjoining walls show signs of some antiquity and must be connected with the nearby abbey. Dwellings in the hamlet of Stone can be seen on the right of picture.

Old Milestone by the A634, Stone, south east of Maltby
Cast iron post on stone pillar, North side of the A634, just West of Horseshoe Lane, next to bus stop, and West of the house 'Stone Chase'. Brayshaw & Booth iron casting erected by the County Council in the 19th century.

Old milestone
The last of the 1893/94 WRCC milestones set up by Gill & Frank Stead on the road eastwards to Oldcotes and Barnby Moor. The road shortly enters Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire. The ground has been cleared and the milestone recently painted. Visible near the base are two places where bolts held the metal attachment to the backing stone. The backing stone has a hole in its top used by the Ordnance Survey. It is Grade II listed 335925.
