British Trolleybuses - Rotherham
Pumping Station was the name used for this intermediate turn-back on the route between Rotherham and Thrybergh. It was at the end of a short branch off the main route and was basically only used for a few journeys at peak periods. The council housing estate in the background remains unchanged. The purple band is certainly eye-catching, if not to everyone's taste. The lower building in the background with the purple water tank is a swimming pool.

The same view as Image The road layout has been changed to allow for a two-way bus road instead of the old turning circle. Trees have matured and the houses have received a different paint scheme
