Carnoustie Close, Swinton
For some obscure reason, several of the residential streets in this area of Swinton are named after golf courses. The traditionally hard-working town has never struck me as a hotbed of the golfing fraternity.

Bank Coffee House, Swinton
Formerly a Yorkshire Bank (?) branch. The Bank Coffee House closed down in August 2022 - it got good reviews. Fully licensed Coffee House opened September 2014, refurbished under new ownership 2 years ago. Just one of many that are going the same way.

Swinton Interchange
Swinton station was closed during the Beeching era but, imaginatively, was reopened in 1991 - and judging by the adjacent packed "park and ride" car park, it has proven an successful initiative.
