The Ship, Swinton
Looking like the bow of a ship, this distinctive wedge shaped pub occupies the junction of Dun Street & Wharf Street. Not sure whether it's still open.

Canal bridge, Swinton
This cast iron bridge carries A6022 Bridge Street across the Dearne & Dove Canal slightly to the north of Waddington's boatyard. According to the datestone on the NW parapet, it was rebuilt in 1889 and again in 1906.

Former Canal Wharf at Swinton Junction
This stretch of water in front of the lock is a surviving fragment of the old Dearne and Dove canal which joined the South Yorkshire Navigation beyond the wharf. This picture was taken from the road over the canal on Bridge Street.

Pound on the Dearne and Dove Canal
