Manor Lane, Adwick upon Dearne
Although considerable new housing development has taken place in the village in recent years, much of Adwick's traditional rural and agricultural character survives. Through traffic is banned from this part of the village so tranquil scenes like this can still be found.

If it wasn't for the 'ouses in between
Boxy executive houses on the left and the bright red roofs of the houses on the right stand out in this otherwise picture-postcard view over Adwick upon Dearne towards Harlington. Indeed, they are something of a landmark, being clearly visible from some distance away and seeming to sit uneasily alongside the village's other more traditional buildings.
