Footbridge Over The M1, near Junction 34, Sheffield / Rotherham - 1
Look out for this fantastic footbridge when you are travelling on the M1 near to Junction 34. If you are travelling South it is just before the junction ... if you are travelling North it is about half a mile after passing the Meadowhall Shopping Centre. From the M1 it doesn't look anything special ... but follow the links to see it in all its glory. The lady on the bridge was braver than me ... my Vertigo got the better of me and I turned back!

Footbridge Over The M1 near Junction 34, Sheffield / Rotherham - 2
This view shows the complexity of design which enables the footpath across the M1 to gain sufficient height, in a limited space, to clear the traffic on the M1 ... superb. The entrance in the foreground is in Sheffield ... the exit, way up by the houses - on Whitley View Road - is in Rotherham!

Top level ... and a bit exposed if you ask me! It was at this point that I stopped and walked back down, around the curly bit, to terra firma and Sheffield. The houses are on Whitley View Road in Rotherham.
