Don and Rother Valley panorama ( part 3)
Looking west. Canklow Road estate in the foreground with the green corridor of the Rother immediately beyond. The industrial development beyond this is a mix of modern redevelopment with older established industries which have modernised. The large black building in the right distance is the remaining part of the old Templeborough Steel Works, now Magna, and behind this can be made out the two Tinsley cooling towers, now threatened with demolition. Modern milestone
On the outskirts of Rotherham on the A6178 just south west of the mini traffic island near the bus stop and opposite The Phoenix Inn. There are only 2 of these stones noting European Funds for South Yorkshire Bus Rapid Transit/Northern Route. The fine sandstone backing stone has fine broaching on the top. The plates are stuck on. The mileages on this one at the Rotherham end add up to 7. The mileages on the one at Attercliffe add to 6½. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6746914. They were set up late 2017/early 2018.

Don and Rother Valley panorama ( part 3)
Looking north of west onto the Don Valley. In the foreground part of the Canklow Road estate with the Rother and Centenary Way immediately beyond. The centre of the picture is taken up by the Templegate Industrial Estate which has superseded the more traditional industries. On the far hillside is the suburb of Kimberworth.
