A Royal tree in Firth Park
This tree was planted by the, then Prince of Wales, later to be King Edward VII on 16th.August 1875. The occasion was the opening of the first public park in Sheffield (Firth Park), the land having been donated by Mark Firth. The wooden base for a plaque is still in place although the metal plaque is long gone.

Plaque at Firth Park
This oak tree, with plaque, was planed during the opening ceremony of the first Park in Sheffield, Firth Park on 16/08/1875. The ceremony was carried out by the prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII. The plaque has long gone.
