Boating Pond, Firth Park
It is many years since this had water in it, but I remember attempting to sail a model yacht here when I was a child. A basket ball court was added, again quite a long time ago. The Lodge and Pavilion building with the clock tower is Grade II listed. The park is split-in-two by Firth Park Road, this is the small section to the east of the road.

The occasion was the opening of the first public park in Sheffield (Firth Park), the land having been donated by Mark Firth. The wooden base for a plaque is still in place although the metal plaque is long gone.
