CMC Motorcycles, Clay Cross
This was previously Stratstone's, also motorcycles, but CMC closed recently in Calow on the Bolsover road out of Chesterfield and moved here to the site on the main A61.

Old Milepost by the A61, north of Clay Cross
Cast iron post by the A61, in parish of Clay Cross (North East Derbyshire District), North of Clay Cross, on grass verge in front of brick wall, on West side of road. Haywood iron casting, erected by the Duffield & Sheffield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : CHESTERFIELD / 4 MILES / DRONFIELD / 10 MILES / SHEFFIELD / 16 MILES : : WOODTHORPE : : CLAY CROSS / 1 MILE / DERBY / 12 MILES : Maker:- : J.
