Bolsover (Midland) Station (remains)
View southward, towards Pleasley and Mansfield; ex-Midland Mansfield - Pleasley - Staveley - Chesterfield line. Station closed 28/7/30 to passengers (excursions until 1939), to goods 1/11/62, but was reopened 28/7/77 - 1981! The line continued to carry colliery traffic until fairly recently and it is shown on the modern map as 'disused'. What is the present situation?

The Castle Arms
A pub by the main road to Chesterfield on the hillside below Bolsover. It was built as a home for Peter Fidler on return to his home town from pioneering work in Canada. He only stayed briefly before returning to charting new territories.

Wagon no. 335
Placed in front of a colliery winding wheel to remind passers-by of Bolsover Colliery which was in operation from 1889 to 1994.
