This photograph was taken approx. 17:30 on Wednesday 10th.June 2009 at the height of flash floods in Sheffield. The photographer is under the shelter at the Shalesmoor tram stop. The yellow line is the edge of the platform, this normally has a drop of some 18 inches to the tram track below. In the distance is Penistone Road. Traffic is flowing towards the city centre. However, due to flooding there is no traffic flowing in the opposite direction.

It was originally founded around 1840, took up the Old Albion name in 1889 and was registered as such in 1897. It was situated at 69/71 Ecclesall Road (the current site of a branch of Waitrose). During the Second World War, this allowed the company to sell in the Sheffield area even though the distance was too far to allow direct delivery from Worksop. The brewery was demolished in 1950 . Looking to Cornish Place. Cornish Place is a listed building. It was formerly the factory of James Dixon & Sons, a Britannia metal, Sheffield plate and cutlery manufacturer. In the late 1990s the disused building was cleaned and converted into apartments. It is regarded as the most impressive cutlery works still standing in Sheffield.
