Moore Street, Sheffield
On a foul morning, with snow blizzarding past the camera. I'm standing on the central reservation of the dual carriageway. On the right is the city centre showroom for Stokes Tiles.

Electricity Substation, Moore Street, Sheffield
As Pevsner remarks, "a little known but outstanding expression of the Brutalist ethos", by Jefferson Sheard & Partners, 1965-68, for the Central Electricity Generating Board. A powerful building in more ways than one. Recognition was granted in 2013 - grade II listed.

A back street of business and industrial premises looking particularly grim in awful weather, with snow falling but not settling here.

The Devonshire Cat, Sheffield
A real ale pub close to the city centre. Renowned for its very large range of draught and bottled beers and lagers. Underneath some student flats so has a ready market on tap!

Moore Street from the Wards Archway
This view shows the Velocity Tower at the side of Moore Street, from the Wards Archway. The archway stands where the Wards gateway once stood. The gateway was demolished and this new archway was erected at the same location. It incorporates the stone lintel and lettering from the old gateway.
