The trees lining this part of Sheffield's Inner Ring Road were in fine colour The Tower Blocks are part of the Netherthorpe Four … and are named in sight order, Crawshaw, Robertshaw and Adamfield. The fourth, Cornhill, is not visible in this shot. The Netherthorpe Supertram Stop is in the middle of the picture and the central reservation … with, appropriately Supertram Number 104 at the stop. This will be travelling down the hill and - as determined by the Blue Square in the sign board - heading for Malin Bridge Terminus, via Hillsborough See also … Image Image Image

For more information … see … Image This closer view shows the Blue Square on the sign board, which gives a clear indication to waiting passengers, that this Tram is heading for the Halfway Terminus. The Middlewood to Meadowhall Trams also use this part of the track system… these show a Yellow Square on the sign board. I can vouch from personal experience that this identification system does work well, with the coloured squares visible from a long way away. See also … Image
