Old stone trough - originally used for watering animals
We've been walking the Oxspring Village Trail (Walk No 1) `Walks in the Parish of Oxspring', published 1997. This trough would have been a popular stopping place for the pack-horse trains that regularly came through Oxspring en-route for either Leeds or Cheshire.

The Waggon & Horses Inn
Originally a Farm House, The Waggon & Horses has been a Public House for over 150 years. Starting out as a small one roomed pub for the navvies building the Penistone to Sheffield Railway it is now a traditional country pub serving very good, well priced meals, with friendly staff, and Timothy Taylors beer.
