Heading for Tunnel Top
The Penistone to Barnsley railway line passes through a tunnel at this point - see the line of rough ground and shrubs that crosses the centre of the photograph. In the 19th century there were three houses here - one of which was lived in by Grace, the mother of Phyllis Crossland (a local author).
