Bridleway off the A616 at Crow Edge
The route of the 'Bridle Road' is different on the 1850 six-inch map; it joined the main road further south by a track that is a footpath now.

Bus shelter on the A616 at Crow Edge
This village is not clearly named on maps, but the postal addresses seem to indicate that the name is 'Crow Edge' rather than 'Lower Whitley'. There are a few bus shelters along the main road, and I think this is the nicest-looking one.

Building work at Sledbrook Crescent
These houses belong to Wavin, who have a pipe manufacturing plant nearby. In early 2011, several different options were being considered for their future. Clearly someone has decided to renovate them.

The A616 at Crow Edge, Dunford
On the left a building probably left over from a former mine. Somehow the rusty roof makes it picturesque. In the distance the hamlet of Crow Edge; suburban in character but nowhere near a town. The original development seems to be a group of council houses for mine workers, and it has an attractive green strip alongside the main road.
