Eastfield Cottages
This area was clearly the Eastfield of a medieval farming system. It seems likely that it was the Eastfield of Thurgoland village - though geographically it lies to the NNE of the village. These cottages are on Bagger Wood Lane.

The Engine House at Eastfield
We think that this cottage is known as `the engine house' though this name no longer appears on the building. It is interesting to speculate which kind of engine would be housed here.
