Hand Lane, Crane Moor Bottom
The current down-turn in the housing market means that there are 7 or 8 houses now for sale in the village. Something that would have been unthinkable not long ago. This view down Hand Lane shows the former Rock pub (the building below and at right angles to the Mount Pleasant Terrace Houses) which has been converted into apartments.

After a month of fairly consistent rain in south Yorkshire this was the day when it rained and rained and ... By around 3pm the beck in Crane Moor was flowing over the road and around the fortunately empty bungalow at the side of the beck.
