Signs Of The Times, Low Road, Oughtibridge
The original sign appears to be 'sinking into oblivion' ... why didn't they just remove it when they sited the new one!

Rear view of Zion Chapel, Oughtibridge taken from across the River Don
This view, across the River Don, has only recently become possible due to the felling of many trees along the river bank. Previously the very tall, old trees would have blocked this view. The felling of the trees, by the Environment Agency in March 2008, is to reduce the risk of further flooding.

Oughtibridge ...New Zebra Crossing Ahead ... 19th May 2008
In June 2007, following very heavy rain, the A6102 was closed just south of Oughtibridge because of land slippage. This closure led to a diversion through Oughtibridge Centre which in turn led to problems for pedestrians crossing the road. Hence the need to install a new Zebra Crossing. The signs announcing this first appeared in May 2008 ... nearly 12 months after the road closure!
