Ready for 'Le Grand D?part'
The 2014 Tour de France started in Yorkshire and on day 2 finished in Sheffield. These terraced houses on Haggstones Road were celebrating the event. Think the front door has had a new coat of paint!

Can you tell what it is yet? ? Haggstones Road, Worrall, near Oughtibridge
This building has replaced the toilet block … demolished in March 2008 … see … Image Nobody seems to know what it will be … with shops being the favourite guess. The difference in the brickwork is quite noticeable but will (hopefully) fade. See also … Image

There will be no buses available on Sunday, 6th July 2014 … why? 'Cos on that day the massive Tour de France 'Circus' will be passing, and I suspect this scene will look somewhat different

Yellow bikes promoting 'Le Grand D?part': Blue Ball Inn
The 2014 Tour de France started in Yorkshire and on day 2 finished in Sheffield. To promote the event reclaimed bikes were painted yellow and placed at various locations on the route and around the city. This one is above the door of the Blue Ball Inn, which turned yellow to mark the occasion Image

Turning Yorkshire Yellow: Blue Ball Inn
The 2014 Tour de France started in Yorkshire and on day 2 finished in Sheffield. To celebrate the event many the call went out to 'Turn Yorkshire Yellow'. The Blue Ball pub responded with a new coat of yellow paint.
