Temporary entrance to Dore & Totley station, from Abbeydale Road South
Although the greatly enlarged car park is still under construction, it rather looks as though a traffic bottleneck is being created, and a safety hazard, too. This picture taken on a quiet Saturday morning when most folks hadn't had their breakfast.

Path to Abbeydale Road
The path leads down from Cavendish Avenue past Abbeydale Park to Abbeydale Road. There are in fact two parallel tracks, this one and another the other side of the trees on the left. The route is called Water Lane and marked as a bridleway.

Dore & Totley Railway Station
The station building now let to an Indian restaurant, the waiting rooms and public toilets long since closed, along with the ticket office and 3 of the 4 platforms.
There's now a car park for 129 cars, plus 7 disabled spaces. Monday - Thursday the car park is totally full to overflowing, yet it's rare for as many as 3 of the disabled spaces to be used, and almost unknown for more than 2 to be displaying disabled blue badges. On this day there were none at all.

That tree is going to have to go!
Supposedly to make way for construction of a new footbridge with lifts, although it doesn't seem to be going there.
