Stag by Redcar Brook (II)
Locally it is well-known that there are some red deer on nearby Blacka Moor but I have never seen any deer this close to the village of Dore. I watched this stag for a minute or two through the foliage before he sensed my presence and ran off.

Following the driest July on record. I have seen this familiar brook when the water level has been very low indeed - but never before entirely devoid of water.
