Business premises, Finchwell Road, Handsworth
The central building once belonged to Handsworth Nunnery Colliery. The pithead was in this yard but the colliery ceased production in 1967. To the left of this site there are still spoil heaps - now mostly camouflaged by vegetation.

Norfolk Arms, Handsworth
One of the old pubs in the area, the Norfolk Arms is identified on the 1901 OS map. Just down the road from here, Benjamin Huntsman, inventor of crucible steel lived for a while in 1742,
