Crown Cottages, London Road
Crown Cottages date from 1869 as indicated on the small plaque between the upper windows of the second house from the end. On this stretch of London Road there are no houses on the north side between Chadwell Heath and Romford except for Crown Cottages.

Tree-clad streetlight on London Road, Chadwell Heath
I think this lamp-post on London Road in Chadwell Heath thinks that winter has come early and has wrapped up warm with this tree-shaped coat! I have quite a liking for lamp-posts covered with vegetation like this, as they blend in quite nicely with the natural environment rather than standing as pimples in an otherwise unblemished scenery!
