Built in 1911 to the designs of architect Geoffry Lucas. A contribution to the Exhibition of Houses and Cottages. Took first prize from the more expensive Class I category of domestic designs. Thomas Geoffry Lucas was a significant figure in the garden city and suburb movement: examples of his work may also be found at both Hampstead Garden Suburb and Letchworth (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Geoffry_Lucas)
