Murals on hairpin bridge
This foot and cycle bridge is a modern replacement for the old road bridge which was the only realistic way for traffic to get over the railway to the docks for many years until the new bridge further west was built. The old bridge was downgraded to light vehicles only, then closed to vehicles, and finally demolished. These murals feature popular singers and their trademark songs. From the left they are Frank Sinatra, Vera Lynn, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Amy Winehouse, a member of N-Dubz (I think), John Lennon (representing the Beatles, judging by the lyric), and three others.

Grazing horse in St Andrew's Road, Tilbury
Tilbury is one of those places where horses graze within a short distance of the town centre amidst dockside cranes and urban dereliction. The footbridge crosses the C2C railway line to London and Southend.

80079 on 'Cockney Coaster', Tilbury
One of the Fenchurch Street - Shoeburyness shuttles over the bank holiday weekend. Heading in the down direction, about to pass under the original Hairpin Bridge. It is slowing for the North Curve where it will pass the site of the locomotive depot where it was allocated for its early years of existence - 33B, Tilbury.

Tilbury's Old Police Station
This was rendered redundant by the new concrete monstrosity on Civic Square [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/936397] built, I think, in the 70s. The two small windows at the extreme right just above the parked red van show where the cells were located and are still heavily barred. The building is now a local government office.
