This foot and cycle bridge is a modern replacement for the old road bridge which was the only realistic way for traffic to get over the railway to the docks for many years until the new bridge further west was built. The old bridge was downgraded to light vehicles only, then closed to vehicles, and finally demolished. These murals feature popular singers and their trademark songs. From the left they are Frank Sinatra, Vera Lynn, Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Amy Winehouse, a member of N-Dubz (I think), John Lennon (representing the Beatles, judging by the lyric), and three others.
