Ockendon branch signal UR852
An interesting signal controlling access to three routes. As signalled, the route is for the up main line at Upminster. When the extreme right route indicator is lit, the route is for the down main line, heading in the up direction, as the line is bi-directionally signalled. With neither lit but the square indicator on the left showing "B", admittance is to the terminal bay at Upminster, when only a yellow aspect would show. This would be the route for most trains on this branch, but not this one. It is the 'Cockney Coaster' special on the way to Fenchurch Street, hauled by steam engine 45407 (as 45157).
