Rainham Transport Hub
I spent 32 years commuting from Rainham Station. Where the bus is and the shops plus Library to the right; there was a sort of wildlife haven as the goods yard was totally abandoned when the station in the picture was built in 1962. The building to the left with the national rail symbol is a left bicycle facility.

Parallel Lines
The picture shows the Tilbury Loop rail tracks at Rainham (Essex). It was taken from the passenger footbridge looking North West towards Dagenham. Behind the hoarding on the left is the nearly completed (at this point) Channel Tunnel rail link. To the left of the electricity pylon in the distance you can just see one of the Ford engine factory’s wind turbines.

This photo was taken looking east from the passenger footbridge at Rainham (Essex) station. It shows the C2C railway to southend and the completed Channel Tunnel Rail Link footbridge, the Chunnel railway is hidden behind the wooden wall. You can see what the view looked like three years earlier at Image
