Horley 1st railway station (site), Surrey
Opened in 1841 by the London & Brighton Railway, soon to become the London Brighton & South Coast Railway, on the line from Croydon to Three Bridges, this station closed in 1906 when it was replaced by the current one, around 300m to the south. View north towards Salfords and Croydon from the end of the current station's platform. Hidden behind the trees to the left, the former goods shed is still extant.

The Jack Fairman
This Wetherspoons pub opened in 2007. The building was originally built in 1933 as a car showroom operated by the Fairman family. One member of the family, Jack Fairman, was also a Formula One racing driver, taking part in 12 races, with the highlight being a fourth place in the 1956 British Grand Prix. It is after him that this pub is named.
