Cottage in Hollow Lane, Wotton (3): logs in the porch
Hollow Lane, Wotton, is one of those rural communities where nobody seems to use the front door. As with two previous examples http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2940854, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2940865 this front door is effectively blocked - and in this case the porch is being used to store logs for the fire. The reason for blocking the front door may well be that it opens directly into the living room - not a clever arrangement in wintry weather.
Notice the attractive brick-work, very typical of the area: red stretchers and (mostly) blue headers.

Wotton: Forester's Cottage, Hollow Lane
On the map it is given the number 14, Hollow Lane and it appears to be the only cottage on the east of the lane. Constructionally it appears older than the others, and may well have been thatched formerly.
