Hollow Lane, Wotton, is one of those rural communities where nobody seems to use the front door. As with two previous examples http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2940854, http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2940865 this front door is effectively blocked - and in this case the porch is being used to store logs for the fire. The reason for blocking the front door may well be that it opens directly into the living room - not a clever arrangement in wintry weather. Notice the attractive brick-work, very typical of the area: red stretchers and (mostly) blue headers. All the photos in this sequence were taken from the public roadway.
