Station Road, Dorking
Seen from its junction with Church Street, Station Road eventually leads to Dorking West station. Although previously known as Dorking Town, it is not nowadays an important stop - Dorking has two other better-served stations. The building on the right in this view is Franklin House, which was originally a Victorian candle factory. It later became offices but was converted in 2014 to six one-bedroomed flats.

The Star, Dorking
Attractive and distinctive tile-hung pub at the corner of Station Road and West Street. West Street, to the right, itself has interesting bell-shaped gables.

Spring Gardens
Trad. down one side, modern down the other.
The little place with the chimney at the end, which looks like one of those places fuel merchants or taxi firms used to use, now houses the Dorking Foot Care Centre.
