Terrace of houses dating from 1927, designed by Vincent Hooper. Although their address is The Close, a cul-de-sac just visible on the far right of the photo, they are physically in Chart Lane.

This newsagent's shop is at the extreme western end of Blackborough Road, at the Chart Lane crossing. West of here, the name of the road changes to West Road for a short distance.

Chart Lane
Although physically in Chart Lane, the address of these houses is in The Close. Built in 1927 to a design of local architect Vincent Hooper, they are in the Chart Lane conservation area. Consideration is being given to giving them locally listed status.
