Once a upon a time Felcourt had a post office
This is a scanned image of a photo taken before the turn of the century at the junction of Blackberry Road and Felcourt Road. Not only does it show there was an operating post office and stores, but also a working and maintained red phone box. The post office and stores has long ceased to exist, now being a private dwelling. The telephone box has been allowed to fall into a bad state of disrepair.

A public notice on a lamp-post in middle of nowhere
As it is a public notice, and I count as part of the public I thought I would read it. It informed me that a stretch of road, some two miles in the opposite direction to the camera view, was to be closed, almost two and a half years earlier. What would I have done without such information.
