Forest Row: postbox № RH18 132a
This modern plastic postbox stands inside the post office and is emptied finally at 5:20pm on weekdays – just after the one outside – and at 12:15pm on Saturdays. No doubt these times fit in well with the postman collecting items left at the post office counter, which closes at 5:30 on weekdays and at 12:30 on Saturdays. My list of postboxes from Royal Mail gives the whole of this area as having RH19 numbers, probably dating back to the time when Forest Row was postally under East Grinstead – it is now a post town in its own right, with an RH18 postcode.

Hartfield Road/B2110, Forest Row
Taken from its junction with Station Road. The flat roof building on the left of the road was clad in scaffolding presumably for remedial work to be carried out while the spire in the far distance is that of Holy Trinity Church.
