Scaynes Hill Recreation Ground
Containing a playground, hard court area and one of the least flat football pitches in Sussex. On Lindield's 1845 tithe map it is known as Rough Field and became a playing field in the 1950s though lost its northern end to the construction of a new school in the mid 1990s.

Formerly the cottage belonging to the village blacksmith whose workshops would have been located where the fence is separating the property from the common. Henfield is the old name for Scaynes Hill.

Old School House, Church Road, Scaynes Hill
The first school in Scaynes Hill, opened in 1856, originally served a dual purpose as a school during the week and a chapel of ease on Sunday. In 1879 the school moved to this building with its former premises expanded to become Image It remained here for over a hundred years until it moved a second time to a new site on Vicarage Lane sometime in the early 1990s after which the old building was converted into a residence.
