Viewed from a new roundabout outside the recently opened Wivelsfield Primary School whose own entrance this image has been taken from. The houses front onto Fairplace and catch the late evening sun. South Road links Wivelsfield Green to Plumpton Crossways and South Chailey.

The name of the field according to the 1843 tithe map and once part of Dumbles Common that was enclosed in the early 16th century. The houses on the left line South Road.

Wivelsfield Primary School
Opened in 2007 to replace the original village school that had operated since 1876. A small drop down area has been provided in front of the school to avoid congestion on the nearby country lanes.

Coldharbour Farm
The former farmhouse is located on Hundred Acre Lane whilst its former farm buildings lie behind and seem to have been converted into residences judging by he sign to the Old Granary, Old Diary, etc. The junction with South Road can be seen in the distance.
