Balcombe Stores, Haywards Heath Road, Balcombe
The village shop located in the centre of the village. The shop is part of a much larger building that also includes the house, Sopers Gardens, and the neighbouring Half Moon Inn which date from the 17th century. The shop front, however, was added in the 19th. To the left is granary Cottages whilst ahead is The Broadway which once contained the village post office.

Sopers Gardens, Haywards Heath Road, Balcombe
The house called Sopers Gardens, the Half Moon Inn and Balcombe Stores are actually part of one large building with the latter a mid 19th century extension of the former which dates back to the 17th century. The pub has been operating here since at least the early 19th century.

Granary Cottages/Forge Cottage, Haywards Heath Road, Balcombe
Granary Cottages are to the left and have been converted from a former barn whilst Forge Cottage is to the right. Both are on what was a former road heading north out of the village which was replaced in 1809 by a new turnpike that is currently the B2036.
